This one day immersive course has been conceptualised around the on going training and development needs of the Digital Media Investigator role but is relevant to all digital investigators wishing to further their knowledge of the benefits and risks of emerging and converging technology in an investigation.
Building upon the foundations of the initial DMI training module, this fast paced, interactive scenario is designed to present the delegates with operational challenges and situations which many may not have yet have faced in their day to day role since completing their initial DMI training and being deployed in force.
This input will emphasise the principles defining investigation strategy, providing best evidence in a timely manner and maintaining an effective log of events, key decisions and rationale.
It will also seek to maximise investigative opportunities by introducing and increasing awareness of a wider network of opportunities from digital devices and solutions that can provide intelligence and evidential opportunities to an investigator.
Finally, the training will identify a number of key products, each of which will showcase to the delegates how the unique solutions can benefit an investigation through swifter or improved data acquisition or analysis in a particular specialist field. This event is a key opportunity for the digital investigators of different levels of experience or expertise to immerse themselves into an environment where they can increase their understanding of how current and emerging technical solutions will assist and support their role.
During the session, delegates will be provided an opportunity to get hands on with relevant products and solutions and utilise them within an operational
environment during the investigative scenario taking place across the day.
